Remnants of manuscript Mishneh Torah - HaYad HaChazaka L'Rambam, from archive. [Yemen, 15th-17th century?].
Yemenite manuscripts of Mishneh Torah L'Rambam were known for their extreme accuracy since they are based upon manuscripts which were sent to Yemen during the lifetime of the author. A slight change may be observed in these leaves in comparison to the regular editions of Mishneh Torah (in the Shabtai Frankel edition the version was proofread based upon Yemenite manuscripts).
Dozens of remnants of leaves, with varying degrees of defects, poor to very poor condition. Chapter titles in red ink.

Luxurious illustrated manuscript"Prayer for the Shliach Tzibbur when he steps down in front of the Tevah to pray during the High Holidays" with the"Shiviti" and the"La-Menatze'ah" Menorah. Padua (Italy), 1834.
Symbolic drawing featuring the hands of the Kohanim with writer's colophon's inside:"Work of my hands, not to take pride but to embellish. Yitzchak Yehuda Cohen and scribe from Budapest - made for Moshe son of Yehuda Cohen, in 1834".
On the leaf before the title page it says:"A souvenir in the treasure-house of Gd - from me, Moshe son of Yitzchak Yehuda Cohen Schuster, who has taken upon himself to volunteer and be the cantor of the Ashkenazi Congregation's Great Synagogue here in Padua for sixty five years and more, to also pray during the High Holidays and Hashem has helped me".
From the colophon and dedication, it appears that Yitzchak Yehuda Cohen of Budapest, who apparently lived in Padua, wrote and illustrated [the manuscript] for his son Moshe Ha-Cohen Schuster, who was cantor at Padua from c. 1820. Moshe Ha-Cohen Schuster later (in 1885) donated it to the library of the Ashkenazi synagogue in Padua. This is an artistic and historic item.
11 Written and illustrated leaves in black and red ink. 22 cm. Good condition, stains. Original parchment binding with gilded adornments.
