Numerous cuttings collected by Ben-Amotz to decorate the book, handwritten comments for the printer, markings relating to the colors to be used when printing, etc. There are some differences between this draft copy and the final printed version. Includes the book cover designed by the artist Jean David. 16pp, 21cm. Good condition, mild staining.

The collection includes: two invitations to the wedding of Iche Mambush and Aviva Margalit ("On the groom's side: Dahn Ben Amotz and Haim Hefer"); 16 photographs (some of the wedding, some of a tapestries exhibition); 8 letters sent to Amikam Gurevitch; letter from Shlomo Sheva, who asks Mambush to accept the apology of Amikam Gurevitch in order to enable him to continue with the preparations for a dinner at the "Kasit" cafe; arbitration decision, including a draft signed by Haim Hefer, Ya'akov Agmon, Amikam Gurevitch, and others; "Pachad Yitzchak" booklet with pearls of wisdom by Mambush (published by Shlomo Sheva and Zaharira Harifai); "Tapestries Mambush" catalog of an exhibition at the Jewish Museum in New York in 1975; newspaper cuttings and more.

Large and important collection of photographs, mainly from the 1960s and 1970s, which includes many photographs from Café Kassit in Tel-Aviv, and photographs taken from behind the scenes of Israeli and foreign films. The greatest cultural heroes of the period appear in the photographs; actors, singers and artists.
The mythological Café Kassit (located at 117 Dizengoff St.) was established in 1944 by Yechezkel Weinstein, known as Chatzkel Ish [man of] Kassit. The café was managed by him and eventually by his son, Moshe Ish Kassit. Kassit served as a meeting place for the Bohemians of Tel-Aviv, a notable municipal-cultural institution in which the colorful images of father and son were prominent.
Among the subjects photographed: Chatzkel Ish Kassit, Moshe Ish Kassit, Avraham Shlonsky, Moshe Dayan, Arik Einstein, Uri Zohar, Zvi Shisel, Shmulik Krauss, Yona Ben Yehuda, Arik Lavie, Assi Dayan, Ze’ev Revach, Yosef Shiloach, Dori Ben Ze’ev, Menachem Golan, Avraham Chalfi, artists Yosl Bergner and Mane Katz, and many others.
