2. Translation draft for a poem from “New Life” by Dante Aligheiri. [1] Leaf, written on the verso of “Sifryat Po’alim” publications official letter paper, 21 cm. Good condition.

Booklet published by Lasker-Schüler herself, with extreme criticism against the world of publishing during the Weimar Republic, when books turned into "merchandise" like any other merchandise, and the right of authors to make a living depended on their ability to sell their books. Some of the printing details on the title page were erased, and in their place is an ink-stamp with updated details. Signed by the author at the bottom of the title page. On the last page is a list of books published by the author. 40pp, 22.5cm. Fair-good condition. Delicate paper and binding. Slight tears.
