By the Admor Rabbi Elimelech Shapira, Av Beit Din of Grodzisk (1824-1891, Chassidut Encyclopedia Vol. One, 243-244), he was a descendant of the Maggid of Koznitz and of Rabbi Elimelech from Lizhensk, author of the “Noam Elimelech”. Served as an Admor from year 1848 after the passing of his father, the Admor Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel, Av Beit Din of Koznitz and of Magleniza.

The bibliographer N. Ben Menachem in his book MiSifrut Yisrael B'Hungaria, brings an interesting rumor that actually this is the second edition of the book because the first edition was entirely burned after the author's sons discovered that the book was arranged by printers who printed on Shabbat.
