Hebrew typeface catalog by Joseph Tscherkassky, head of the Oriental Department of the Berthold Type Foundry. Introduction in seven languages: German, Yiddish, Arabic, English, Hebrew, French and Polish. Artistic binding with the relief "Berthold" in Hebrew and German.
[40] leaves, 28.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Blemishes to binding.
2. Über Hebräische typen und schriftarten [About Hebrew Types and Fonts]. Berlin: Berthold press, 1926. German and a little Hebrew. From an edition of 500 numbered copies.
"About Types and Fonts", an essay by Raphael Frank (1867-1920), the designer of the Hebrew fonts "Frank-Ruhl" and "Miriam". Alongside the essay, the book contains a short biography of Frank, by his widow, and an article by Dr. Jacob Adler – "The Revival of the Hebrew Language".
39, [1] pp, 32.5 cm. Good condition. Foxing (to the leaves of the book and its binding). Blemishes and tears to binding. The spine is partly detached.
