Beit Hillel, 1691 – Antique Signatures

Beit Hillel, two sections, on the Yore De'a and Even Ha-Ezer sections of the Shulchan Aruch. Dyhernfurth, 1691.
Antique owners' signatures on top of title page.
Above signature, is a trimmed signature of "the son of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Harif of Lissa, son in law of Rabbi Ya'akov Behar… and "Katsin" Yehezk'el S…". Rabbi Yehuda Leib son of Rabbi Lipman Harif was one of the heads of the Lisa (Leszno) community who undersigned on the well-known 1759 letter from the Lisa community to the Frankfurt community against moving of Rabbi Abish of Lisa's to serve as rabbi in Frankfurt.
Additional signature on title page is of "Asher Anshel son of Yitzhak Da"tz". Possibly Rabbi Asher Anshel son of Rabbi Yitzhak, rabbi of central Beit Midrash in Premsla (Premysl), who printed his famous book, "Shemena Lahmo" in 1701.
Third signature: Zalman Lipshitz. [Many rabbis had this name. See Otzar Ha-rabbaniim 5638 - Rav in Lackenbach (1790); 18771 - author of "Hemdat Shlomo" from Warsaw; 18772 - father of author of "Heshiv Rabbi Eliezer"; 18773 - son of "Heshiv Rabbi Eliezer", Rabbi in Landesberg 1784; 18775 - Rabbi in Slutzk in 1771, and others).
