Photograph Album - Cyprus Internment Camps

An album with 16 photographs from the internment camps in Cyprus. [Ca. 1949].
Group photographs presenting daily life in the internment camps: the dining hall, the workshops (one of the photographs shows the amateur stone chiselers presenting the stone works they have created in the camp), a puppet theater and more. The inner side of the front binding is mounted with a photographic postcard bearing the Hebrew inscription "Souvenir from the Cyprus Exile, 5709".
On the front binding is a chiseled stone plaque with an illustration of a ship at sea and the Hebrew inscription "Kafrisin 5708" (Cyprus 1948).
Photographs approx. 6X8.5 cm. Album: 13X21 cm. Good condition. Slight defects.
