Collection of Broadsides Published by the Etzel, 1945-1948
13 broadsides of the Etzel (Irgun), concerning some of the most important affairs to occur during the last years of the British Mandate. Palestine, 1945-1948.
Including: proclamations and publications concerning the end of World War II, call for a "War for Life" against the British, "The Black Sabbath", the bombing of the King David Hotel, the "Olei HaGardom" affair, the break-in to the Acre Jail, the Altalena affair, and a proclamation notifying of the execution of two Jewish "collaborators"; a pamphlet in English, printed in London about a month after the bombing of the King David Hotel, in which a connection is drawn between the bombing and its British victims and the Holocaust and its victims (alongside a cartoon conveying the same message). In a number of publications the British are referred to as "Nazo-British", an expression meant to compare between their deeds toward the Jewish community in Palestine and the Nazi crimes.
