Torah Mantle
Torah mantle. [North Africa? Ottoman Empire? Early 20th century]. Torah Mantle, made of two parts. Upper part made of wood and covered with fabric, with openings for Atzei Chayim, decorated with golden fringes at the edges. The mantle has an opening in front, made of a nice fabric with floral patterns. Outer part is made of Burgundy colored fabric, with vegetal patterns embroidered in golden thread, with sequins. Length: 80 cm., max. width: approx. 88 cm. Fair condition. Tears, velvet is worn.
