Manuscript – Prayers and Piyyut for Brit Milah – Italy – Artistic Binding

Manuscript, prayers and piyyut for Brit Milah. [Italy, c. 19th century]. Handsome Italian script. Kabbalistic prayer by the Rabach. Followed by two more prayers: “A prayer to be recited before fulfilling a positive mitzvah according to Kabbalah” and “A prayer for a mohel before the circumcision of his son or other boys…”. A poem for a Brit Milah appears after the prayers [in square vowelized script] (by Rabbi Shmuel Arkivelti; Otzar HaShira V’HaPiyyut 7565). Notebook with many leaves, most empty. Handsome contemporary binding, with embroidered silver-thread decorations on light-blue fabric. [12] written pages (many empty leaves). 15 cm. Good condition. Clean leaves, few stains. Wear to binding.
