About 90 documents from the archive of the author and Yiddish linguist Eliyahu Falkovitsh (Elye Falkovitsh). Russia, 1920s-30s until the 1970s. Yiddish and Russian.
Falkovitsh, born in Homel 1989, Professor of Yiddish Linguistics and author of Yiddish study books; passed away in Moscow in June 1979.
The archive includes telegrams, letters and postcards sent to him; numerous letters from newspapers editorials and publishing houses ("Emes" publishing house, "Di Yidishe Shprakh", "Folks Shtime" newspaper editorial) and letters from researchers, authors and poets, amongst them Leib Kvitko,
Yehezkel Dobrushin, Nahum Shtif (“Ba’al Dimyon”), Leib Ulitzky, Yudl Mark, two letters from Avraham Sutzkever, and more.
