Poems by the Jewish-German poet and writer Arthur Silbergleit (1881-1943, perished in Auschwitz), depicting his experiences during WWI; accompanied by eight lithographs by Hermann Struck, portraying villages and figures in Eastern Europe. Copy no. 54 out of an edition of 100 copies, with signatures by Silbergleit and Struck on the title-page. 41, [2] pp, [8] plates, 22.5 cm. Good condition. Ex-libris label. Elaborate binding with parchment spine. Rare.
