Signature on title page of book: “Tzvi Hirsch Heller” – Signature of the Ga’on Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Heller (1776-1835, Encyclopedia of Scholars of Galicia, II, 665-671) known as “Rabbi Hirsch Charif” after his genius and acuteness [Charif]. Rabbi in Brigidau, Galicia and later on famous Rosh Yeshiva in Brody. Was forced to flee the city due to an informing; arrived in Hungary and served in the rabbinate of communities of Bonyhad, Ungvar and Oven-Yashan. Was rabbi of great disciples, including Rebbe Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska and the Ga’on Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried author of "Kitzur Shulchan Aruch". Author of "Chiddushei Tiv Gittin" and additional compositions.
