Decorated Ketubah – Damascus, 1898 – Signatures of Damascus Torah Scholars

Large ketubah. Damascus, 14th Adar 1898.
Text of the ketubah in Sephardic script in center of leaf. Decorated with flowers and vases, in gold and colored ink.
Signed by the groom and the witnesses, Torah scholars of Damascus: R. Ezra Maslaton-Tarab (head of the Damascus Beit Din, author of Shaarei Ezra and other works) and R. Netanel Moshe Habuba (1834-1917, head of Damascus Beit Din, kabbalist in the Beit El yeshiva in Jerusalem).
Approx. 67X48 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Folding marks. Tears and defects, affecting decorations. Framed. Not examined out of frame.
