Mikraot Gedolot, Torah, Neviim Rishoniim, Neviim Acharonim and Ketuvim, with Targum, Rashi and Ibn Ezra, Radak, Ralbag and the Masorah. Venice: Pietro and Lorenzo Bragadin, [1617-1619]. Set of four parts in four volumes.
The books were printed and sold in weekly booklets, between 1617-1619, to finance the printing.
Many signatures and ownership inscriptions, including those of R. Leib London and his sons R. Moshe and R. David (R. Leib London – Torah scholar of the Altona Kloiz and dayan in the Beit Din of R. Yehonatan Eybeschutz; d. 1769).
Vol. I (Torah and Five Megillot): [6], 228; 802-844; 8 leaves. Leaves 802-844 of Five Megillot and 8 final leaves (Targum Yerushalmi) originally appeared in vol. IV. Vol. II (Neviim Rishonim): [1], 234-441 leaves. Lacking [1] final blank leaf. Vol. III (Neviim Acharonim): 442-616, 615-668 leaves. Misfoliation. Lacking title page. Vol. IV (Ketuvim): [1], 672-801; 845-908, [25] leaves. Lacking final blank leaf. Approx. 42 cm. Overall fair condition. Stains, including dampstains and traces of past dampness. Wax stains to several leaves. Wear. Tears, including open tears affecting text in several places. Tear to title page of vol. IV, affecting border, repaired with tape. Worming, affecting text. Original endpapers, mounted on new endpapers. Early wood and leather bindings, with restored spines and corners.
