Large Collection of Israeli Records

Approximately 380 Israeli and Hebrew records. Wide variety of recording companies, including Hed Arzi, Makolit, and Tslil (in addition to a few records by other companies), Israel, 1930s to 1960s (the majority from 1950s). Hebrew and some Yiddish.
Large collection of records, mostly 10-inch with a handful of 6.8-inch, featuring Israeli performers such as Yafa Yarkoni (numerous records), Shoshana Damari, Lehakat HaNahal (the Nahal Entertainment Troupe), Hanna Aharoni, Naomi Shemer, Israel Yitzhaki, and Jo Amar. Included: many song albums, folk tunes, and a number of children's albums. Most albums in Hebrew; some in Yiddish, some cantorial and liturgical music.
Size and condition vary. Enclosed either in contemporary folders (some worn) or in paper envelope-jackets.
