Four Photographs – Lou Landauer, Grete Ackerman, and Alice Holz – 1930s and 1940s

Four photographs by female photographers active in Mandate Palestine. Various places throughout Palestine, [ca. 1930s and 1940s].
1. Photograph by Lou Landauer showing a lecture on the history of art at the New Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem. Instructor: Joseph Budko. [Late 1930s.]
2. Photograph by Grete Ackerman, showing boys working in the yard of an agricultural school on Kibbutz Givat HaShlosha. [Late 1930s or early 1940s].
3-4. Two photographs by Alice Holz, showing the facade of a stone house in the woods [location unknown, ca. 1940s].
Photos signed on backs with the photographers' inked stamps. The photograph by Grete Ackerman is signed with both the official embossed stamp and inked stamp of the agricultural school.
Enclosed: A photograph of a girl in a cobblestone alley (by Tim Gidal?). A handwritten caption appears on the back: "Dr. Gidal phot…. in Jerusalem."
10X17–17X13 cm. Good-fair condition. Minor stains, creases, and blemishes. Handwritten notation (mostly undecipherable) and open tear to edge of photograph by Grete Ackerman (slightly affecting photo).
