Anti-Semitic Book – Jewish Slaughter Customs – Amsterdam, 1942

Het Joodsche slachten, de achtergrond van bloedige Joodsche gebruiken [Jewish Slaughter, the Background of Bloody Jewish Customs], by G. A. M. de Monyé [Gustaaf Adolf M. de Monyé]. Amsterdam: Westland, [1942]. Dutch.
An anti-Semitic study, under the guise of a scientific essay, accompanied by photographs. The author, a veterinarian by profession, reviews the history of Jewish slaughter and its ritual contexts (including reference to Jewish circumcision) and describes the Jewish tendency to ritual use of blood.
While in Nazi Germany, kosher slaughter was forbidden about a month after Hitler's rise to power, in Holland, the prohibition came into force only in 1940. This book was, presumably, printed to support the act prohibiting kosher slaughter.
