A printed personal invitation, By Rabbi Chaim Leib Shmuelevitz, to his wedding with the daughter of Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, Head of the Mir Yeshiva, on the 3rd of Tevet 5690 (1930).
Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz (1902-1979), grandson of the Saba of Novardok. One of the most outstanding Torah scholars renowned for his diligence and his brilliant discourses. During the Holocaust, he led the yeshiva on its wanderings from Mir to Vilna, to Japan and Shanghai. Later, he immigrated to Jerusalem where he established the "Mir Yeshiva" together with his father-in-law, Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel and headed it for many years. It is interesting to note that he passed away on the 3rd of Tevet 5739 (1979), after 49 years of marriage.
