Synagoga Judaica [Jewish Synagogue], a research book on the topic of the Jewish religion, by the Hebraist Johannes Buxtorf (1564-1629). With 18 illustrations (engravings) incorporated in the text, depicting different customs of German Jews. In the beginning of the book is an illustration of a synagogue interior (double-spread engraving). Fine double-spread title page, printed in black and red ink.
[1] Engraved plate, [1] title page, [16], 752, [8] pp, 16.5 cm. Fine vellum binding with gilt title on the spine. Good condition. Some stains and slight defects to binding. Inscriptions on the binding's inner side.
