United States Certificate of Naturalization of the Rebbe Rabbi Yisrael Rabinowitz of Skolya.
Official printed certificate with picture of Rebbe, filled in with typewriting, handwriting, signature and official stamp. Issued in 1954.
The Rebbe Rabbi Yisrael Rabinowitz (1905-1975, Encyclopedia of Hassidism II, p. 575), son of Rabbi Pinchas Rabinowitz of Skolya, from the Zlotshov dynasty. Son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Zusha Twerski of Hotzalas. After his marriage moved to Kishinev, founded a Beit Midrash and Yeshiva and served as Rebbe of Skolya. After nine years moved to London and established a large Beit Midrash by the name of "Ohel Yisrael". In 1948 moved to the USA, resided in Brooklyn and afterwards in Miami Beach where he added the name Trisk to his Beit Midrash. Toward the end of his lifetime immigrated to Eretz Israel. His Chiddushim were printed in the book "Yismach Yisrael" on the Torah.
