Nachum Tzemach – A handwritten letter on Habima Theatre official stationary, to D. Rosenfeld. Moscow, July 6th, 1917.
Repeat request regarding players for a nearing play. Tzemach ends the letter with a clarification of the matter's urgency and signs "please answer us immediately". On the back of the letter are notes of various arrangements and names "arrange the objects", "for Bialik" etc.
Nachum David Tzemach (1887-1939) first established Habima Theatre – the Hebrew Drama Association – in 1913 in Vilnius, but this attempt failed. In 1917, he re-established it in Moscow. This letter relates to an attempt to put on a play in the Habima Theatre's first year.
