Lechem Starim, commentary on Avoda Zara tractate, Rabbi Nissim Shlomo Algazi. Strasbourg, [1777]. Second edition which was printed based upon a copy of the first edition which was in the library of Rabbi David Zintzheim, author of Yad David, who added an introduction, in honor of the author.
Only few Hebrew books were printed in Strasbourg. Between 1540 and 1740 a number of Bibles were printed by Christian printers. This book is the first which was printed in the mid 1700’s upon the reinstatement of the Hebrew printing in the city for a short while.
