Gast-Karte – guest card from the 6th Zionist Congress. Basel, 1903. Folded in half. The front bears "Zion" stamps and the Congress's ink-stamp, and the inside has a drawing on the theme "Those who sow with tears shall reap with joy", by Ranzenhofer.

Large collection of documents from the Zionist congresses 15-22, from the archive of Rabbi Moshe Ostrovsky HaMeiri, who participated on these congresses on behalf of the Mizrahi, was active in the education committee and chairman of the committee in the 17th congress.
1. Empty cardboard folders, Zionist congresses 15,16. Basel and Zurich, 1927, 1929.
2. Protocols from the meetings of the education committee in the 17th congress, many notes and memos regarding the Technion and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. 1931. Dozens of pages in his handwriting.
3. Cardboard folder, 18th congress in Prag, 1933. With ten typed official documents.
4. Issues 2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10 of the official newspaper of the 19th congress. Luzern, 1935.
5. A notebook with letters, letter copies and reports from the 20th comgress, Zurich 1937. Addressed to the management of the National Committee. The letters detail all the events of the congress day by day. 18 leaves in handwriting.
6. Folder, 22nd congress, Basel, 1946. A dozen issues of "Congrezion" - a leaflet from the congress and several official documents from the congress.

A thick diary in handwriting by Max Nordau (1849-1923), thinker, writer and lecturer, a physician and one of the founders of the Zionist movement.
Dedicated to his daughter Maxa Simona Nordau. In the diary the father describes the life of his daughter from her birth on January 10th 1897 in Paris until April 12th 1908. Throughout the diary are many photographs of the daughter, from baby to young girl. Attached are a number of postcards, notes written in German and French by Maxa and drawings. Nordau details her development each day, week and month, all her activities, conversations with her parents, her character and various events in which she participated, such as erecting a tombstone on the grave of Heinrich Heine. Diary is written in German.
Previous owners: The diary belonged to Maxa Nordau, her daughter Claudy Grinblatt gave the diary to her cousin Yosef Epstein (Tel Aviv). Sold in auction by Ben-Ami Endres in 2006.
Around 150 leaves, 22.5 cm.

Notebook containing copies of letters and telegrams by Yehiel Tschlenov (1863-1918), a physician and Zionist leader. Contains copies of around 100 letters and telegrams sent from London between January and December 1915, to an impressive number of Zionist leaders. The letters The letters reflect all the political and bureaucratic of the Zionist organization's management which was located in London during WWI.Among the addressees: Yehuda Leib Magness, Max Nordau, Ze'ev Jabostisky, Aharon Aronson, Chaim Weizmann, and Tschlenov's wife.

Three postcards, written in 1898-9 in Loewe's residing place Magdeburg, Germany. Sent to pharmacy student Mr. Sinai Salomon. Loewe announces he is about to sail to Palestine, sends his regards to Dr. Meir Hildesheimer, manager of the Berlin Rabbinical Seminary and other acquaintances. In another postcard he asks Salomon to prepare for him Quinine capsules against Malaria. Also contains Loewe's calling card which has, on verso, a recommendation for Saomon as representative of "The Jewish Company for Group Travels".

Paul Haupt (1858-1926) was a Semitic Linguistics professor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland from 1883 until his death. He also served as professor at Göttingen University in Germany.
In this composition he suggests a solution for the suffering of Jews in Russia by establishing settlements in the Euphrates and Tigris regions – Iraq.
German language. Includes a fold-out map at the back of the book. Singerman No. 4336.
