Meginei Eretz, Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, Volume 1, Simanim 1-428. Zhitomir, 1861. Printed by the grandsons of the Slavita Rabbi: Rabbi Chanina Lipa and Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Shapira. Signatures, inscriptions and stamps of Rabbi Moshe Ravilsky (1877-1944), author of "Sansinei Etz HaChaim" (Odessa 1908). Served in the rabbinate of various cities in Basarabia and in his native city Kazatin (Ukraine) succeeding his father Rabbi Nissan. In 1913, served as Av Beit Di of Ungheni (Romania) after Rabbi Yehuda Leib Fishman-Maimon immigrated to Eretz Israel. In 1926, he also immigrated to Eretz Israel where he changed his name to Avineri and taught in Yavne'el and Safed. In the inscriptions in this book, there is one inscription about his being Av Beit Din of Kazatin and another "from the 19th of Adar 1913 Av Beit Din of Ungheni".

One of the first books of Chassidut which mentions teachings of the Ba'al Shem Tov. The author, who passed away in 1798, was among the greatest disciples of the Maggid of Mezeritch, as well as being close to and a disciple of Rabbi Ya'akov Yosef of Polnֳ¡, Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl and Rabbi Yitzchak of Berditchev.
All three volumes are bound together: 4-48, 61-80, [2] leaves; 52, 55-98, 101-120 leaves; 64 leaves. 20 cm. Light greenish paper. Fair-poor condition, stains and moth holes. Damages affecting the title page, the first and last leaves, pasted restoration paper. Rebound.

He blesses the publishers, that the merit of the author should "protect them and the printers and the purchasers of this book".
Ownership signatures and notations of Rabbi Aharon Porush (grandson of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman) of Kapust.
The author Rabbi Yisrael of Bohopol (passed away in 1849, Encyclopedia of Hassidism, 2, pages 512-513) son of the daughter of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl. This book contains sayings in the name of his grandfather, Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl, and his brother-in-law, Rabbi Shalom Shachna, father of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin.

Arvei Nachal, a wonderful work on the Torah, by Rabbi David Shlomo Eibeschitz Av Beit Din of Sorocza. Sudilkovo, [between 1825-1836]. First edition. Unidentified signatures on leaf margins.
First edition of a basic book on Chassidism. Its author, Rabbi David Shlomo Eibeschitz (1855-1914, Encyclopedia L'Chassidut, 1, pages 501-503), a great Chassidic leader and rabbi, Rabbi of Sorocza. In 1809, immigrated to Eretz Israel, to Safed, where he is buried. In his approbation, his relative Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev writes about him "sharp and proficient in Torah like one of the Rishonim and all his deeds are for the sake of Heaven". He wrote many works, including his famous halachic book Levushei Srad.

First book of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Hibner (1834-1907) Av Beit Din of Nizhnov in the Stanislav region, an outstanding Torah genius, in contact with the Rebbes of Stretin, Premishlan, Vizhnitz and Belz. Also spent time with Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin and his sons and Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and his sons. Eulogized many of the Torah geniuses and Rebbes of his generation. Authored many books: "Nachala L'Yisrael", "Sha'ar Bat Rabim", "Hadrat Kodesh", "Hadar Responsa" etc.

Rabbi Moshe David Teitelbaum (1856-1935), grandson and disciple of Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum, author of Yitav Lev, served as Av Beit Din of Magyarlֳ¡pos and Rosh Yeshiva there for fifty years. Published many books of his grandfather, author of Yitav Lev and of his great-grandfather, author of Yismach Moshe.

The Torah genius Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ashlag (1885-1955), brilliant Torah scholar, holy mekubal served in the Warsaw rabbinate, immigrated to Jerusalem in 1922, where he established the Itur Rabbanim Yeshiva for studying the revealed part of Torah, besides his many classes in kabbala taught to chosen young men. Eventually, a large group of disciples and Chassidim gathered around him and he became a Rebbe. He did much to spread the wisdom of kabbala and in this framework wrote and published many books. His most prominent work is the Sulam commentary on the Zohar. These booklets are some of the first works that he printed [only his commentary Eitz Chaim preceded them].

This book is the source of many known Segulot; for retaining material studied, amulet for protection of woman giving birth. Having this book at home is a verified Segula for protection against disaster and fire as written on the title page of this book: "Excellent Segula to have wise sons and for success and blessing and to put out the fire and protect against any demon and disasterג€¦ anybody who owns this book will have blessing in his wealth and will have a salvation at the time of need. All Torah observant Jews will testify to this". Some say that it is a Segula for childless couples and for women experiencing difficult labor.
Forty five leaves. 21.2 cm. Good-fair condition, wear and mildew stains on sheet margins. New binding.
