Kedem conducts three to four Judaica auctions annually. These auctions feature rare books, Jewish manuscripts, letters, documents and biblical and rabbinical items. Judaica auctions are divided into various chapters, primarily printed books, manuscripts and miscellaneous items. All items are carefully inspected and described by Kedem experts with authenticity guaranteed.
Printed Books – Kedem offers religious books such as siddurim, Passover Haggadot, Polish and Russian printings, including books printed in the renowned Shapira printing press in Slavita and Zhitomir; early editions of Chassidic and Kabbalistic books, ancient books printed in the 16th and 17th centuries and incunabula books; rare editions of the Talmud and the Bible, responsa, halachic and polemic books. Kedem devotes special sections to rare books printed in Oriental countries, in Eretz Israel and particularly in Jerusalem, with singular notice of remote countries and early English and American printings.
Manuscripts – Letters, dedications, inscriptions, signatures, and glosses by prominent Torah scholars, Chassidic leaders and other notables, ancient Jewish manuscripts and Chassidic and Kabbalistic manuscripts, community ledgers, illustrated manuscripts and other historical, cultural and collectable documents.
Miscellaneous – Ancient Megillot Esther, amulets, special Ketubot , unique printed and handwritten single leaves, unusual proclamations, photographs and portraits.
