Silver plated metal dish to serve sugar. Warsaw-Lithuania, the 20th century.
Elliptic dish with two Art-Nouveau style handles. A round handle on the lid decorated with leaves and ribbon-like decorations. The dish itself is also decorated with ribbon-like designs, gold-plated. The dish stands on four round balls and on its bottom a Warsaw manufacturer's mark "17 B.Henneberg, Warszawa 2420".
An inscription in Yiddish on the lid: "Gift for Rachel the bride of the day of her departure for Eretz Yisrael, from the groom's grandmother", dated: Grodno, 1926.
Height: 11.5 cm. Maximum width: 19 cm. Good condition.
