The sons of the author write in their foreword that although publishing the author's commentary on the Torah portions would appear to take precedence, they are first publishing his commentary on the Midrash, in accordance with his will.

Vol. IV (Five Megillot): [2], 136 leaves. 32.5-34.5 cm. Overall good-fair condition. Slightly dry paper. Stains, including dampstains (and dark stains to several leaves). Worming. Closed and open tears to title pages and other leaves (with damage to text and title page border in vols. III-IV), repaired in part with paper and tape. Margins of vol. III trimmed in several places close to text. Inscriptions. New bindings.
