Black fur hat and long black dress from the wardrobe of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and of her sister Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary, wife of R. Shemaryahu Gurary (the Rashag) – daughters of Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the Rayatz of Lubavitch. [1940s-1950s].
Enclosed is a handwritten note (in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1889-1991): "I hereby gift… an outfit that my sister wore from end of the 1940's – mid 50's. She gave it to me when she no longer wore it. I wore it for a few years as well". Dated 12th February 1989.
