Five items of clothing from the wardrobe of the sisters Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn and Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary. [1950s-1960s].
A velvet hat, floral kerchief, knitted sleeveless sweater, pleated skirt and leather gloves from the wardrobe of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and of her sister Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary, wife of R. Shemaryahu Gurary (the Rashag) – daughters of Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the Rayatz of Lubavitch.
Enclosed is a letter of authenticity (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift... an outfit that my Sister and I wore in the 1950-1960's". The letter is dated 12th February 1989.
