Esther scroll. [Poland, 19th century].
Ink on parchment. Script typical of Western Poland in the first half of the 19th century (Beit Yosef script), exceptionally neat, with decorations at the top of each column and to all lines in the column of Haman's ten sons. In one place, enlarged letters spell out the four-lettered Name of G-d. 28 lines per column.
Height of parchment: approx. 41 cm. Fair condition. Stains. Ink faded in many places.
