A detailed record, written by hand, of the various expenses involved in purchasing lands and settling in Hittin; arranged according to categories: travel expenses of Hankin and Yochevedsohn [Yehoshua Hankin and Avraham Ychevedsohn (Posner)]; inscription of funds transferred to sellers of lands; expenses involved with "arranging the Bills of Sale"; compensation payment to the Arab heads of villages; payments for drawing maps of the area, acquiring materials for marking the border; and more. Alongside the expenses inscriptions appears the inscription of money received from JNF for the purpose of settlement.
In 1905 JNF purchased lands of the Arab village Hittin (near the Sea of Galilee); the lands were the first ones purchased by JNF. The first attempt to settle in the village was in 1913 by settlers from Degania Aleph, but this attempt failed due to conflicts with the Arab neighbors. In 1923 a second attempt was done by settlers of "HaMizrahi" movement who established the Hittin Workers Moshav.
