An extensive collection of letters and documents (most of them are handwritten) concerning the Jewish settlement in Peki'in, and in particular with relation to loans granted to local inhabitants. The collection includes letters from inhabitants in Peki'in, letters to and from Israel Rivlin (teacher in Peki'in who served as the representative of the settlers in their endeavors to get loans from the national institutes), official letters on behalf of the National Council and JNF, and more. The collection includes: * Many letters recording the efforts of Peki'in inhabitants to get loans from the Jewish institutes in Palestine: letters to Yitzchak Ben-Zvi; correspondence between Peki'in inhabitants and Israel Rivlin who represented them vis-à-vis the institutes (some letters are stamped with the ink-stamp "Council of Peki'in Jewish Congregation" and hand-signed by Peki'in inhabitants of the families Nakibli, Mizrahi, Zinati, Uda and others). * Letters from the Jewish National Council, typewritten and hand-signed by Yitzchak Ben-Zvi. * A letter on behalf of Peki'in Jews to Menachem Ussishkin, chairman of JNF. * An autograph letter to the headquarters of the Jewish Agency, the department for settlement, with list of Peki'in inhabitants and their ages. * Official letter from the Anglo-Palestine Bank (typewritten on official letterhead of "The Anglo Palestine Company Ltd.") with list of loans granted to Peki'in inhabitants. * Additional letters and handwritten lists.
Total of about 75 items, including handwritten letters and leaves (some in pen and others in pencil) and several typewritten letters. Size and condition vary. Filing holes to all of the leaves.
