Box produced by" Bezalel". Jerusalem, 1912.
Etched brass; wood. Signed: "Bezalel Academy of Art Yerushalem". dated.
The cover is decorated with a pair of lions holding a seven-branched menorah, two trees and various plant and geometric patterns. A verse from Psalms (Chapter 122, 6) appears on the frame rims. The inside of the box is wood-paneled. The etching department (Batik) on metal opened in the "Bezalel" Academy in 1912 headed by Reuven Lifshitz.
Height: 4.5 cm, width: 18.5 cm, length: 10.5 cm. Good condition.
